It can provide module or assembly-based, part or full machine build engineering and production capabilities.

Strategic outsourcing

An increasing number of energy sector machine builders and OEMs are choosing strategic outsourcing as part of an overall production and supply chain strategy. Partnering with a trusted strategic outsourcing arm allows you to delegate non-core activities and win back the time you need to focus on your core competencies: Product innovation, Research & Development and sales & marketing to name but a few.

The barriers and constraints you may face will be varied but typically revolve around available resource (people, space, cash) or process capability (resulting in extending lead times or increasing costs). PP C&A’s role is to help minimise and eliminate such constraints and work with you in partnership to help you grow revenue and profitability. PP C&A are perfectly positioned as leaders in strategic outsourcing to some of the world’s largest machine builders and OEMs to support your production requirements and take ownership of the supply chain.

From early design concepts, design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA), supply chain design & optimisation, to product standardisation, design approval processes and machine build, test and logistics – a complete end-to-end contract manufacturing solution is on offer.

As your outsourcing partner with a comprehensive set of manufacturing disciplines and connections, PP C&A will develop a strategy that builds in plenty of benefits. Benefits such as manufacturing cost and lead time reductions, flexibility and agility in the supply chain, a more modular and configurable approach to design, and finally; build, install and commission efficiencies with improved product performance and reduced machine downtime.

Design and build of electrical control & automation systems, with over five decades of value-add engineering solutions for the manufacture of control panels.

Electronics assembly, supporting floor standing suites to small, complex box builds, and the often-stringent demands for electro-static discharge with a dedicated ESD facility.

Support in the design and assembly of pneumatic, hydraulic, and fluid systems by connecting components such as cylinders, actuators, and valves using tubing and fittings, as well as assembling any other mechanical or electrical components necessary.

Supporting everything from simple fabrication assembly to complex mechanical integration. Often includes the integration of subsystems such as power transmission, actuation, and sensing.

Valuable experience and competence in the sourcing and assembling of vacuum chambers and associated gas management systems. Assembly includes installation of vacuum pumps, valves, gas handling systems, and other components that make up the complete system.

£millions invested in automated production and test equipment for cable harnesses, utilising a 100% test regime. Over £2m has been invested in state-of-the-art fully automated cable preparation. Single and multicore cable processing, and design and manufacture of complete drag chain solutions.
